I know I've posted on this before, but I still think it looks great. Apparently it's called a "slammed" skateboard. More after the jump...
And look! Proof that the roof racks on stanced cars actually serve a purpose!
Somewhat surprisingly, I couldn't find a lot of pictures of slammed boards with stanced cars. Two separate sub-cultures that don't play nice? Money all spent on your stance, nothing left over to slam your board? I dunno... Anyways, I found this last picture on a Tumblr named "bitcheslovevws" - I figure many of my fellow Opponauts would appreciate it:

Skaters can't afford cars......

Why bother with a skateboard wheel-truck?
If you are going to put the truck on top of the board, with the axle so tight to the deck that lean-steering is impossible... why not just have an axle shaft clamped to the deck, and not have the truck sticking up.
I can only imagine tripping and falling, and impaling one's self on the bolts used to hold the truck to the board.
Yet another example of why defeating the purpose of suspension is an idiotic (IMHO... your board, your car... do what you want as long as you don't put other people at un-necessary risk) move, and not all that stylish, anyway.

Those things are called Stanceboards.
I still have an old Skateboard somwhere, would be worth a try I think. All that needs to be done are the holes for the wheels and longer screws for the axle mounts.

I think it is colloquially known as a slamboard. I think they are pretty cool, not functional at all, but cool.

It's the same question I ask of a stanced car: how is it to ride?

All style, no substance.
No thanks...

It's ok if function follows form. I prefer the other way around, but hey, sometimes something's just gotta look pretty.
What makes a machine beautiful is the elegance with which it functions. So if its extremely elegant at the cost of some function, that's fine. If it's elegant at the cost of all function, it's no longer a machine anymore, and can no longer be a beautiful machine.
I think some of these boards have crossed that line. If you can't turn, you can't ride, its not cool anymore.

It's great, until you have to turn.
Wait, sort of like a stanced car! haha

Actually, you know, that one in the lead picture looks like it might have just enough clearance to be able to turn a little bit. Truth be told, I actually think it's kind of cool looking. It'd just suck to try not to trip over the trucks all the time.

Its a good thing they had that roof rack, I have no idea how they would've crammed that entire skateboard into the car

It looks like some are so low that they won't even turn, while others should be able to handle a lazy turn.
You're going to get a lot of twist in the bolts that go to the top of the truck, so I'm not sure if that hurts or helps turning. Basically, the trucks may not be doing much twisting because the bolts are instead.

The trucks are on the wrong way. Am I the only one seeing this? wut
